A Dia in Beacon | Good times killing us …
April 2011 | A trip to Beacon in spring – to get out of the city and discover the Dia Beacon art museum. As it turns out, Beacon itself has been transformed into a huge open air exhibition with quite some amazing stuff. Not only Paula is enjoying to discover new paintings, graffiti and sculptures at every corner of the small town.
Most appropriately, the cute restaurants and cafes offer healthy and fairly traded food and cake, and the atmosphere is quite relaxed and enjoyable.
As a discussion with colleagues highlighted before our trip, the Museum and its art is not everybody’s cup of tea. It is ours though. The massive installations in large halls and spaces invite to walk through, over and under it, and leave us very impressed. Definitely worth another trip.
